Florence Dunn

Graveside services for Florence Dunn, 81, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper with Brother Lamar Denby officiating.

Mrs. Dunn was born October 23, 1944 in Macon, Georgia to the late Carrie (Davis) and Charlie Underwood, and died Friday, February 6, 2026 in Harbor Hospice’s inpatient facility in Jasper, Texas.

Florence worked at everything from a seamstress to a MIG welder, but her favorite occupation was being a housewife. Her hobbies included fishing, tenting, reading and playing various card and dice games. She was a faithful member of Highway Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington and loved and adored her Lord Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Rodney; her niece, Stacey; and her baby boy, The Dude, her puppy dog, all who will sorely miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning at Highway Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington.
