Memorial services for Ezzie Edward Norris, 86, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Jason Olive officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Norris was born August 27, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Bessie Mae (Dunaway) and Buley Arter Norris, and died Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at his residence.
Ed proudly served in the United States Army from April 25, 1958 to April 18, 1961, then joined the United States Coast Guard in April 1961. He was honorably discharged in July 1964. Ed spent his career welding commercial metal.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley E. Norris; sons, Randy Burnette and wife Sandi, Larry Jordan and wife Peggy, Tony Hall, Mark Ainsworth; grandchildren, Sarah Burnette Myrick and husband James, Larry Jordan II, Lydia Jordan and wife Nichole, Maegan Jordan Brantner and husband Johnny, Dru Jordan and wife Morgan, Tristan Ainsworth, Ivy Ainsworth; great-grandchildren, Stellan, Noah, Johnah, Edynn, Alijah, Karson, Kane, Kelcie and Kylie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gordon Norris, Wayne Norris, Frank Norris, Johnny Norris, Bill Norris, Willie Norris; and sisters, Katherine Lambert, Ida Wagnone and Shirley Berry.
