Eunice Louise Norsworthy

Funeral services for Eunice Louise Norsworthy, 82, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, July 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Josserand Baptist Church in Groveton with Brother Bueford Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in the Possum Walk Cemetery.

Our beloved Mother and Nanny was born December 13, 1941 in Groveton, Texas and died Friday, June 28, 2024 in a local hospice facility.

Eunice had resided in Lufkin for most of her life. In her earlier years she loved country music, dancing, and playing 42. Eunice was a dedicated wife, homemaker, and nurturer of many children, and the heart of our home and family. She was kind, selfless, encouraging, and the best listener. She always reminded us to forgive people and place our faith in the Lord. In her spare time Eunice enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Randall Norsworthy and wife Shelley, Ray Norsworthy and wife Jackie, all of Lufkin; daughter, Regina Simms and husband Bobby of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Bridgett and Stephen Sluder, Jennifer and Adam Ivey, Samantha and Roy Smith, Dustin and Jacqueline Alderman, Arlaina and Josh Deranger, Brianna Norsworthy, Mackenzie Wittmann, Kodi Norsworthy, Arlon Norsworthy; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, and Emma Sluder, Jenna, Matthew, Ali, and Andrew Ivey, Ryley and Madilyn Smith, Vendrick Schleter, Ena Alderman; sisters, Lela Self of Possum Walk, Amanda Doyle of Groveton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Ollie Rogers; husband, Elmer Gene Norsworthy; son, Ronnie Norsworthy; granddaughter, Chloe Jordan; brothers, Jim Bob Rogers, Joe C. Rogers, R.B. Rogers, Roy Rogers, Coy Rogers; and sister, Ardanie Hardin.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Sluder, Ethan Sluder, Noah Sluder, Matthew Ivey, Nelson Reynolds, and Dustin Alderman.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
