Eulavia Marshall Hopkins

Funeral services for Eulavia Marshall Hopkins, 85, of Zavalla will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Joel Hitchcock and Brother Jackson Colwell officiating. Interment will follow at Zavalla Cemetery.

Mrs. Hopkins was born May 11, 1938 in Zavalla, Texas to the late Lillie Eulalia (Gilliland) and Jefferson Roy Marshall, and died Monday, February 19, 2024 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Zavalla and a lifetime member of Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Annloria Hopkins, Danelle and Chip Brashear, Teresa Dunkin, and Waunesa and Joe Herrington; grandchildren, Nita, Dana, Judy, Jennifer, Emily, Kelli, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Dwyatt, Savannah, Timothy, Kendall, Dalana, Xzavier, Sebastian, Josiah, Ryan, Reese, Evelyn, and Charlotte; great-great-grandchildren, Kinzleigh and Raina; sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and James Eaves; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Buford and Faye Hopkins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.P. and Lavon Hopkins; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Dan Hopkins; son-in-law, Bo Dunkin; and brother, William Marshall.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Joe Hopkins, Terrence Hopkins, Robert Martin, Carl Hopkins, Quincy Eaves, and Little George Cryer.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Gates, John Puntch, Jr. and Edwin Buford.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
