Graveside services for Ethelene Austin Weeks, 84, of Etoile will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. in Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Jerry Wilson officiating.
Mrs. Weeks was born November 29, 1940 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Luna Faye (Farmer) and Theopolous Austin, and died Friday, September 19, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Weeks had resided in the Broaddus and Etoile areas for 65 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her life was spent taking care of her family. She was very active in her church, Macedonia Baptist Church, where she was loved by many.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and John Patten of Orange; sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Beverly Weeks, Tim and Monica Weeks, all of Lufkin, Freddy and Nita Weeks of Etoile, Bryan and Lisa Weeks of Huntington; grandchildren, Kristy, Misty, Brandon, Andrew, Lauren, Dustin, Raela, Logan, Amanda, Alan, Olivia, Taylor; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Joy Weeks in 2004; granddaughter, Meagan Loyola; grandson, Adam Ray Weeks; brothers, David Austin, Hamp Austin; and sister, Odell James.
Pallbearers will be Josh Collins, Alan Weeks, Dustin Weeks, Logan Weeks, Brandon Weeks, and Andrew Weeks.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church of Etoile, P.O. Box 125, Etoile, Texas 75944 or a charity of your choice.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday morning at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
