Funeral services for Emmlene “Emm” (Batson) Burnaman, 78, of Etoile will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile.
Mrs. Burnaman was born July 9, 1942 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Edna Florence (Sowell) and John Henry Batson, and died Sunday, May 9, 2021 at her residence.
The most important thing to Mrs. Burnaman was her family and her favorite thing was raising her grandchildren. She loved cards and game nights. She enjoyed shopping, gardening and raising flowers, being in the outdoors, and birdwatching. Mrs. Burnaman was a Christian.
Survivors include her husband, Doyle Burnaman of Etoile; daughters and sons-in-law, Anita (Burnaman) White and Harold Butler of San Augustine, Sherry (Burnaman) Meschwitz and Louis of Etoile; grandchildren and spouses, Amber and John Quinn, Kelsey Meschwitz, Quentin and Sara White, Bryce and Lacie White, Luke and Brittany White, Nolan White and Kayla Mayo, and Thomas Franks; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Durwood Batson and Jerry Batson; sister, Willie Lankford; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Burnaman’s grandsons.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to the services.
