Mrs. Crunk was born November 26, 1937 in Taylor, Texas to the late Samie (Pollard) and Nathaniel Lansford, and died Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence.

She grew up in Central Texas, where she lived until she was 10 years old. She moved to Freeport, Texas till her early 20’s. She would continue to visit Freeport throughout her life. In her 20’s she moved to Conroe, Texas and eventually to Zavalla, Texas. She worked in retail for 31 years. 13 years were spent with A&P Company and 18 years with Krogers. After retiring from Krogers she moved permanently to Zavalla. She lived her last three years with her granddaughter, Tina Rosales in Conroe.

Some things you may not know about Emily:  She loved fried chicken, mashed potatoes, with white gravy and green beans. She always asked to go to Churches Chicken. Towards the end she loved peaches and ice cream. Her favorite movies were Western Shootouts. Her favorite concert was a Jimmy concert.

Emily found the Lord in her adult years. She was a good and faithful servant. When she was unable to attend services she enjoyed listening to Pastor David Jeremiah’s sermons. Some of her happiest days were spent at First Baptist Church of Zavalla, where she served and volunteered from 2008-2021.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sammie and Mary and her son-in-law Robert; seven grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 33 great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; special friends, Christal and Jaime; along with other friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Charles Crunk; parents, Nathaniel and Samie Lansford; and her five siblings, Glenn, Nathaniel, James, Rainey, and Lois.

She was looking forward to being with our Lord Almighty and to be able to hold her great-grandson, Joey and great-great-grandbabies, Juan and Aria.

She went home peacefully surrounded by her loving granddaughter and great-granddaughters.

Pallbearers will be Alex Cervantes, Miguel Galvan, Isaias Rosales, Victor Rosales, Benjamin Guevara, and Carlos Hernandez.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Boles, Johnny Boles, Marcos Esparza, and Mario Esparza.
