Elven Deen Mcadams

Graveside services for Elven Deen McAdams, 86, of Lufkin will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reverend Mark A. Newton officiating.

Mr. McAdams was born May 10, 1938 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Lena Deen (Odum) and Eugene McAdams, and died Saturday, March 1, 2025 at his residence.

Elven was a lifelong resident of Lufkin. He owned and operated McAdams Lumber Company for 23 years and worked in the home building business. He was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M. and was a member of First Baptist Church of Lufkin.

Survivors include his son, Justin McAdams and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Crystal Hays and husband Glen, Jackson McAdams, Kate McAdams, Max McAdams, great-grandchildren, Brittany Hays and Cody Hays; great-great-grandchild, Harleigh Ammons; brother, Vernon McAdams; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley June (Pederson) McAdams; daughter, Rosalind Jo McAdams; and brother, Kenneth McAdams.

Pallbearers will be members of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Carroway Funeral Home.
