Funeral services for Elizabeth “Betty” Spann, 99, of Huntington will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Nathan Pannell officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Spann was born May 8, 1919 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Sarah Elida (Childs) and Emanuel Sparks Dunham, and died Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Spann had resided in Huntington for 30 years. She loved bird watching, plants, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was member of Still Waters Cowboy Church in Huntington.
Survivors include her children, Patsy McConnell and husband Jack of Homer, Bonnie Kovich and husband TJ of Santa Fe, Texas, Becky Sickelka and husband Dwight, Betsy Howard and husband Marvin, Vivian Henson, Claudia Skillman, all of Huntington; Richard Wright and wife Gail of Waco, Walter Wright and wife Wendy, Daniel Curran and wife Laura, Michael Curran, April Curran and Cheryle Curran, all of Huntington; stepchildren, Ronnie Spann and Randal Spann; daughter-in-law, Dot Roden of Australia; numerous grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Spann; sons, Patrick Wright, Bob Roden; daughter, Linda Wright; son-in-law, Kenneth Kovich; grandchildren, Doug Kilipatrick, Kristy Wright, and Cheryl Roden; and great-grandchild, Daniel Roden.
Pallbearers will be Ray Cordova, Grant Gregson, Heath Henson, Jeff Horn, Michael Kovich, and Dwight Sickelka.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Wright, Walter Wright, TJ Kovich, Jack McConnell, and Jonathan Sides.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
