Elizabeth "Liz" Aldredge

Graveside services for Elizabeth “Liz” Aldredge, 101, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Walker Cemetery with Chaplain M.E. Lyons officiating.

Mrs. Aldredge was born March 19, 1922 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Charlottie (Riley) and James Caswell Modisette, and died Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington, her former residence. Mrs. Aldredge traveled the world over as a military wife to her husband, Cleo D. Aldredge, who retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Survivors include her sisters, Dolline Marshall of Lufkin and Naomi Knight of Hernando Beach, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cleo D. Aldredge; daughter, Joy Catherine (Aldredge) Thornton; and nine brothers and sisters.
