Dulce Carina Cordero

Mass of Christian Burial for Dulce Carina Cordero, 32, of Lufkin will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church Pastor Denzil Vithanage and Rev. Raymundo officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Dulce was born June 13, 1989 in Lufkin, Texas to Abelino and Guadalupe Hernandez Cordero, and died Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in a local hospital.

Dulce enjoyed spending time with her family, gathering to watch football, play games, and share a great family dinner. She was a loving daughter and sister, but her greatest joy in life came with her title of “mother”. Dulce was a devoted mother, her life revolved around her children. Dulce brought so much joy and love to everyone and she will be dearly missed by so many.

Survivors include her parents, Abelino and Guadalupe Cordero of Lufkin; sister, Terri Jacobo and husband Armando of Lufkin; nieces, Jacquelyn Terrazas of Fort Worth, Shelby Jacobo of Lufkin; sister, Angelica Cordero of Lufkin; nephew, Fabian Cordero of Lufkin; niece, Mia Delacruz of Lufkin; Dulce’s children, Adan Gonzalez, Aubrey Gonzalez, Ayvah Gonzalez, Hazel Fierros, Brysen Fierros, all of Lufkin; partner in love, Martin Fierros of Lufkin; stepson, Martin Fierros, Jr. of Lufkin; grandmother, Maria Inez Hernandez of Lufkin; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jose Hernandez; grandmother, Teresa Roldan Cordero; aunt, Maria Hernandez; and uncles, Arturo Hernandez and Juan Cordero.

Pallbearers will be Armando Jacobo, Noel Sarmiento, Fabian Cordero, Adan Gonzalez, Ruben Cordero, and Martin Fierros.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
