Funeral services with military honors for Doyle “Ed” Mann, 67, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charlie Walker officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Mann was born November 8, 1951 in Hammond, Louisiana to Vernon Mann and the late Joyce (Drewery) Mann, and died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in Lufkin.
Mr. Mann proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant. He was an Electrician for Texas Foundry for more than 18 years. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking for arrowheads, and gardening. He also participated in Civil War reenactments. Mr. Mann was a member of Allentown Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Mann of Lufkin; sons, Charles Mann and wife Angela of Temple and Randy Nerren and wife Jessica of Lufkin; daughter, Shannon Hancock of Lufkin; grandchildren, Dakota Mann, Jalen Nerren, Bethany Nerren, Keilah Nerren, Emma Hancock, Mallory Conner, and Gabe Penick; father, Vernon Mann of Ellisville, Mississippi; brothers, Wayne Mann of Pascagoula, Mississippi and Ted Mann of Ellisville, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Becky Barker and husband Roger of Lufkin; special nephew and niece, Jeffrey and Angie Barker and son Colt of Lufkin; best friend, Allen Smith and wife Keilah; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother and best friend, Joe Oates.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the East Texas Patriot Guard Riders.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
