Douglass W. "Doug" Jones

Memorial services for Douglass W. “Doug” Jones, 63, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Brother Steve Cowart officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Jones was born December 19, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas to Louise (Hawk) and Murrell L. Jones, and died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his residence, after a brief battle with cancer. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and was employed by Nalco Water in Casper, Wyoming, where he was a Delivery Specialist. Mr. Jones was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father, Murrell L. Jones of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Kristie and Shane Trahan of Etoile; son, Kenny Jones of Etoile; granddaughters, Katie RaeLee Jones and Kiely BriAnn Jones, both of Alto; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Royce McGaughey of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Linda Jones of Diboll; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Becky Dorman of Farmersville and Michael and Kelly Dorman of Pollok; stepdaughter, Cindy Dorman Largent of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-granddaughter, Morgan Ford of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise (Hawk) Jones; and wife, Kay Jones.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the services.
