Memorial services for Lanny Douglas “Doug” Walton, 69, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Pastor Dwayne Greenwood officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Doug was born April 28, 1955 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Doris Jean (Johnson) and Roy Berry Walton, and died Sunday, October 20, 2024 in Huntington.

Doug was a graduate of LaVega High School and attended McClennan Community College. He was a lifelong Christian. He was also an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and prepper.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Mary Ellen Walton; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Vincent Smith; and son, Lanny Derek Walton, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Julius Walton, Keely Smith, Jordan Walton, Jovanni Smith, Isaiah Walton, Julian Walton, Ainzley Smith, Brinlee Smith, and Jada Walton; sisters, Jeanne (Walton) Bryant of Houston and Debbie Smith of Huntington; brother, Ray Carroll of Jasper; and aunt, Martha Balch of Houston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris Jean (Johnson) Walton, Roy and Bonnie Walton; sister, Joann Martin; and brother, Donnie Carroll.
