Dorothy Ann Keene

Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Keene, 76, of Bald Hill will be held Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Deacon Jesus Reyes officiating. Interment will follow in the Homer Cemetery.

Mrs. Keene was born September 28, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Theresa (Foux) and Horace Thibodeaux, and died Sunday, October 28, 2018 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Keene resided in the Bald Hill Community since 1992, recently residing in Etoile. She loved animals of all kinds and chickens, especially her sidekick Diamond. Mrs. Keene was known for her flower gardening. She read many books and knew the science of growing flowers and plants. Mrs. Keene also enjoyed rock collecting, sewing, crocheting and quilting. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Gina Jannise of Huntington, Daphna and David Jasso of Lufkin, Lelia and Ricky Miller of Etoile, Dana Jannise of China, Miranda and Robert Sanders of Etoile; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mearl L. Keene; granddaughter, Shyanne Taylor; brothers, Jesse Thibodeaux and Robert Thibodeaux; and sisters, Merida Coutee, Thelma James, Eula Mae Daigle and Millie Howard.

Pallbearers will be Robert Sanders, David Jasso, Ricky Miller, D.J. Taylor, Gilbert Sanders, Jesse James, and Ricco Guevarra.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon prior to the services.
