Dorothy Faye Green

Memorial services for Dorothy Faye Green, 78, of Huntington will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Danny Cryer officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Green was born November 22, 1945 in Hallettsville, Texas to the late Alice Elizabeth (Gold) and Harlen Howard Long, and died Saturday, July 27, 2024 at her residence.

Dorothy resided in Pinehurst, Texas prior to moving to Huntington. She loved her family dearly and spent her life caring for them.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon D. Green, Sr.;  son, Jeffrey Green, Sr.; grandsons, Jeffrey Green, Jr., Jonathon Green; granddaughters, Amber Green, Brenda Green; great-granddaughter, Kylie Green; great-grandsons, Landon Green, Keegan Green, and David St. John; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Roberta Long; sisters-in-law, Patricia Braton, Darlene Long; nieces, Frances Kendrick, Roberta Gard; and cousin, Jimmy Long.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Vernon D. Green, Jr.
