Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Tony Sebesta Alsbrooks, 86, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Ty Phillips officiating.  Interment will follow in the Narrow Way Cemetery.

Mrs. Alsbrooks, the daughter of the late Annie (Esterak) and Adolph V. Sebesta, was born October 28, 1931 in Katy, Texas. However, the doctor recorded her date of birth on the birth certificate as October 29, 1931. She died Friday, September 7, 2018 in Highlands, Texas.

Mrs. Alsbrooks had been a resident of Lufkin for more than 20 years. Prior to that, she lived in Houston where she and her late husband owned and operated Burl’s Body Shop for 20 years. Mrs. Alsbrooks was a member of Cross Road Baptist Church. She was very involved in her church, and her church family meant a lot to her.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Susan and Johnny Butler of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Larry Foyt of Crosby, Michael and Tammie Alsbrooks of Highlands, and Karen Davis of Humble; brother and sister-in-law, Adolf and Mary Sebesta of Spring; ten grandchildren and spouses, Mike and Belinda Butler of Highlands, James Butler of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jenny and Heath Anthony of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Patty Foyt of Crosby, Daniel Foyt of Crosby, Devin and Jerry Coker of Teague, Laci and Jason Wornick of Dallas, Joshua and Jennifer Alsbrooks of Baytown, Hunter Davis of San Antonio, and Colten Davis of Houston; nine great-grandchildren, Audrie and Sadie Anthony, Rebecca Coker, Hayes and Emery Wornick, Kade and Konner Alsbrooks (the twins), Crysta and Junior Zeedyk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Alsbrooks was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burl Vernon Alsbrooks; son, David Alsbrooks; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Beverly Sebesta.

Pallbearers will be Josh Alsbrooks, Colten Davis, Hunter Davis, Jason Wornick, Robby Alsbrooks, Daniel Foyt, and Billy Stanford.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the funeral home.
