Funeral services for Doris Nell Siegert, 76, of Central will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Assembly of God with Brother Woody Woodard and Brother Andy James officiating. Interment will follow in Wallace Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Siegert was born June 22, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Farah Dean (Higgins) and William Thomas Baty, and died Thursday, February 29, 2024 at her residence.
Mrs. Siegert was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She adored her children and grandchildren and always supported their endeavors. She loved lighthouses and listening to gospel music. Mrs. Siegert was a charter member of Bethel Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband, Larry G. Siegert of Central; children and spouses, Yonnie and Michael Derr of Nacogdoches, Lawayne Siegert of Bay City, Krystal and Mark Pfiester of Lebanon, Indiana, and Darla and David Townsend of Pollok; grandchildren: Brittany Dunnahoe, Alisha Derr, Rachel Derr, Benjaman Townsend and wife Pam, and James Townsend; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Crystal Calder of Lafayette, Louisiana, Wanda Massey, Jean Bennett, and Joyce and Thomas Watson, all of Central; sister-in-law, Edna Baty of Leggett, brother-in-law, Jesse Lopez of Liberty; special friend, Ella McCormick of Zavalla; numerous nieces and nephews; and her fur babies, Heidi and Blizzard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas Allen Siegert; brothers, Thomas Wayne Baty and James “Pete” Baty; and sister, Mary Lopez.
Pallbearers will be Corey Watson, Dustin Watson, Daniel Watson, Steven Thompson, Ernest “Snake” Arciniegas, and Mark Pfiester.
Honorary pallbearer will be John Alexander.
The family extends special thanks to Tonya of A Pineywoods Home Health and the extended staff of Gentiva Hospice for their care of Mrs. Siegert.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
