Doris Watson Dudley

Graveside services for Doris Watson Dudley, 83, of Lufkin will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Chireno Upper Cemetery with Brother Ennis Fuller officiating.

Mrs. Dudley was born March 28, 1943 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Alma (Jones) and Arlis Watson, and died Sunday, May 10, 2026 in a local hospice facility. She resided in Lufkin most of her life and retired from Atkinson Candy Company following more than 30 years in Quality Control.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Pate of Lufkin; granddaughters, Chasity Boyle-Lodermeier and husband Brayden, April Stover and husband Chris, and Jessie Patrick and husband Rodney; great-grandchildren, Ethan Stover, Iris Boyle, Cooper Boyle, Ryan Mitchell, and Brantley Mitchell; sisters, Shirley Holloway of Nacogdoches, Ruth Child and Paunee Ogden, both of Dallas; best friend, Betty Lynch Murry of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, McNeil Dudley; daughter, Paula Tudor; and son, Timothy Dudley.

Pallbearers will be Ethan Stover, Chris Stover, Colton Stover, Sonny Watson, Nate Jernigan, and Brayden Lodermeier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Stover, Cooper Boyle, Ryan Mitchell, and Brantley Mitchell.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday morning at Carroway Funeral Home.
