Donna Muldowney

Donna Muldowney, 60, of Lufkin passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of November 22, 2023, from cancer. At her request, there will be an informal celebration of life memorial service Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin, Texas. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Donna was born April 3, 1963 in Lubbock, Texas to the late Murray Don O’Neal and Patricia Ann O’Neal Skillern. In the 60 years that she lived, she was so many things to so many people. She was a U.S. Navy veteran, a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a grandmother, a friend, a role model, and a teacher.

No matter what hat she wore, Donna was dedicated to helping others. Her lifelong motto was that if you are not learning and growing, you are not living. She lived her life to the fullest.

Survivors include her daughter, Toran and son-in-law George; grandsons, Grant and Tanner; adopted daughter, Rhea Albarez and family; brother and sister-in-law, Murray and Oma O’Neal; sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Frank Ott; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of cut flowers, Donna loved live plants or would love donations in her name to the Winnie Berry Humane Society of Angelina County, 1102 N John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
