D.L. Frances Modisette

Funeral services for D.L. Frances Modisette, 91, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Trey Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.

Mr. Modisette was born May 31, 1933 in Italy, Texas to the late Winnie Elisabeth (Blackburn) and Samuel Dayton Modisette, and died Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Castle Pines Health and Rehabilitation.

Mr. Modisette worked in sheetrock construction and was a painter. He attended Herty Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Randy Lee Modisette of Lufkin; daughters, Kathy Lynn Modisette and fiancé David Ball of Anahuac, and Linda Kay Lackey of Angleton; grandchildren, Christina Collins, April Russo, and Wendy Penny; great-grandchildren, Preston Collins, Rachelle Dotson, Alex Russo, Nikki Russo, Cali Penny, and Mya Penny; great-great-grandchild, Bentley Collins; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline Jones Modisette; daughter, Brenda Carol Rhodes; great-granddaughter, Kourtnee Russo; mother of his children, Leonardean Tomlin; and brothers, Leon Modisette and Buddy Modisette.

Pallbearers will be Randy Modisette, Preston Collins, Joshua Dotson, and Brian Carroll.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the service.
