Dien Phu Dang

Funeral services for Dien Phu Dang, 75, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, June 16, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Sa Mon: Thich Mat Hanh officiating. Prayer services will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a procession to the crematory. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Dang was born April 3, 1944 in Saigon, Vietnam to the late Muoi Thi Dao and Quang Van Dang, and died Thursday, June 13, 2019 in a local hospital. Formerly of Norcross, Georgia, he had resided in Lufkin for two years. He was a member of Bao Tich Meditation Center in Houston.

Survivors include his wife, Nho Thi Le of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Ngoc Anh Le Dang and Hai Truong Nguyen of Lufkin; granddaughter, Aliana Trang Nguyen of Lufkin; grandsons, Maxon Truong Nguyen and Jax Thinh Nguyen, both of Lufkin; and two sisters and other relatives in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening following the funeral services.
