Dennis Zane Heagy

Dennis Zane Heagy, 75, of Lufkin passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Lufkin. Services will be privately held.

Dennis was born October 19, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Ivy Oletha (Webb) and Edwin Marshall Heagy. He graduated from Lufkin High School where he played sports. Mr. Heagy retired from Champion International Paper Mill in Houston, where he worked for over 30 years. He was a lifelong fan of the Texas Longhorns and loved to play golf.

Dennis is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Plummer and husband Mark, Kimberly Leone and husband Reynold, Zana Furstenfeld, Courtney Sensat and husband Jared; grandchildren, Kyle Plummer, Corinne Stewart, Ryan Leone, Kylie Leone, Ryan Furstenfeld, Zackary Furstenfeld, and Jaycen Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Lily Mae Stewart, Presley Walker, Harper Furstenfeld, and Autumn Furstenfeld; and nieces, Michelle Mills and Marcelle Heagy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy and Edwin Marshall Heagy; and brother, Michael Heagy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
