Dennis Earl "Bill" Dove

Graveside services for Dennis Earl “Bill” Dove, 79, of Broaddus will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto with Brother Hugh Mixon and Jim Bell officiating.

Mr. Dove was born May 16, 1939 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to the late Hazel (Houston) and Willie Aaron Dove, and died Thursday, June 14, 2018 in a local hospital.

Formerly of Alto, Mr. Dove had resided in Broaddus since 1996. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a mechanic for various auto dealerships. Mr. Dove enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of First Baptist Church Broaddus.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jo (Choate) Dove of Broaddus; one son; two daughters and their spouses; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Choate, T.J. Choate, Brandon Lawrence, J.B. Gholson, Joey Griffin, and Jeremy Griffin.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Gholson, Bill Keener, Ronnie Otis, Nathan Watson, Perry Curry, and Hunter Curry.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
