Graveside services for Frankie Deloris Cox, 83, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Campground Cemetery in Woodville with Brother Keith Woolf officiating.
Mrs. Cox passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at Hospice in the Pines Inpatient Unit at CHI. She was born July 13, 1939 to parents Barney Elzie Coplen and Levie (Jordan) Coplen. She grew up and went to public school in Woodville, Texas.
Soon after graduating she married Robert Lynn Miller and had two children. After his early death, she remarried to Marvin Cox and had 3 more children. Deloris kept herself busy with keeping and caring for many plants and making quilts, a hobby that passed down from her mother. Other than that, she had her hands full taking care of 5 kids, one of whom was mentally disabled. She kept and provided for this youngest son until she was 81 years old.
Her survivors include her children: daughter, Andrea Annette Burks and husband Kenneth Glenn Burks of Lufkin, Texas, son, Richard Lynn Miller and wife Lelia Miller of Shirley Creek, son, Markus Lynn Cox and wife Serena Cox of Etoile, son, Steven Wayne Cox of Lufkin, Texas, and son, Clifford Ray Cox of Diboll, Texas. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
