Delois Sims

Graveside services for Delois Sims, 85, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Blackie Cranford officiating.

Mrs. Sims was born December 20, 1936 in Lamesa, Texas to the late Carmen (Fowler) and Nelson Herbert Hopkins, and died Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her residence.

Survivors include her daughter, Rae Diane Sims Hunley and husband Richard of Lufkin; son, Rick Sims and wife Siri of Washington; granddaughters, Emily Sims, Shawna Wise and husband Phil, all of Lufkin; great-grandson, Lucas Wise of Lufkin; sister, Ima Lee Cranford and husband Blackie; brothers, Jerry Hopkins, Herb Hopkins; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Sims; and grandson, Josh.
