Debra Porter

Funeral services for Debra Porter, 66, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Comstock officiating. Private interment will follow.

Mrs. Porter was born February 12, 1955 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Martha Savannah (McBroom) and Herbert Nolan Witt, and died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Porter had resided in Lufkin for 49 years. She was a homemaker, focusing on her sons and grandchildren. Mrs. Porter was a member of First Assembly of God Diboll.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Porter of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jad and Renee Porter, Chris and Delma Porter, all of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Alexis, Nolan, Savannah, Landon, Gunner, Preston, and Austin; former daughter-in-law, Charissa Mott of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Gene Brast of Nacogdoches; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Joe Kirby of Trinity; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Kathie Wilkerson.

Pallbearers will be Chris Porter, Jad Porter, Kevin Cates, Kalvin Cates, Mark Brast, and Michael Brast.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Wilkerson and Josh Wilkerson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Diboll Building Fund, 8665 S US Highway 59, Diboll, Texas 75941.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon prior to the services.
