Deborah Moore Todd

Memorial services for Deborah Moore Todd (DeDe) 70, of Lufkin will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church with The Reverend Ralph Morgan officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Todd was born August 23, 1948 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of the late Mary (Golden) and Edward L. Moore. She died Sunday, October 21, 2018 in a Lufkin hospital.

Ms. Todd had resided in Lufkin since 1979 and was a member of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church. She graduated from Dallas Bryan Adams High School in 1966, and from The University of Texas at Austin in 1970. She retired from Lufkin ISD after a teaching career of more than 30 years.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jeffrey and Katherine Todd of Lufkin, Emily and Brett McCarroll of Houston; grandchildren, William McCarroll, Molly McCarroll, Paige McCarroll, Miller Todd, and Hollis Todd; sisters-in-law, Janet Moore of Houston and Lynn Moore of Frisco; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Meb and Cathy Todd of Lufkin; a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and her little dog and companion Sophie; and her dear long-time friends in Lufkin and classmates from Bryan Adams High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers Bob Moore and Ned Moore.

The family would like to thank the numerous friends and medical professionals that cared for and treated DeDe during her illness. They would also like to thank Mary Liz Crager for taking care of Sophie.
