Deborah C. Skelton

Funeral services for Deborah C. Skelton, 71, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Holder officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Skelton was born January 20, 1954 in Silsbee, Texas to the late Claudia Estelle (Lowe) and Benton Key, and died Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Skelton had resided in Lufkin for 46 years. She owned and operated a nail salon for 27 years. She loved Jesus and Bible studies were held often in her home. Mrs. Skelton enjoyed cooking, camping in their 5th Wheel, and going on cruises.

Survivors include her husband, William Angus Skelton of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Skelton Nash, and Kelly Skelton Ferrara and husband Brannon, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Erika Chauvin and husband Bryant, Tanner Crawford and wife Breanna, Haley Johnson, Jessica Fultz and husband Colton, Kristen Ferrara, and Brittany Ferrara; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Billie Jean “BJ” Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Brannon Ferrara, Bryant Chauvin, Jeramy Johnson, Tanner Crawford, Johnnie Fields, and Tony Greenwell.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon prior to the services.
