Debbie Haverland was born March 27, 1957 in Houston, Texas, and passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her home.
Debbie graduated from Houston Scarborough High School in 1975. She married Gerry Haverland July 1, 1978. They just celebrated their 40th anniversary. She attended Angelina College Nursing School where she represented her class on the state level. Debbie began her career as an RN at Woodland Heights Labor and Delivery. She transferred to Hospice in the Pines and later would become the director of Life Care Hospice in Nacogdoches. She worked at Beacon Hospice in Longview until she retired. Debbie was known as a very compassionate caregiver with her patients, friends and family.
Debbie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren singing, laughing, and playing games in which she was always very competitive. Her grandchildren enjoyed snapchatting with her, using silly snapchat filters. This always led to lots of laughter. She especially looked forward to Thanksgiving where the extended family would all gather.
