David Roy Wilson

Funeral services for David Roy Wilson, 39, of Huntington will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Dr. Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.

Mr. Wilson was born January 15, 1979 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Catherine Lee (Steward) and R.Z. “Rick” Wilson, and died Sunday, July 15, 2018 in a local hospital. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1997 and was the manager of McDonald Self Storage. Mr. Wilson was a member of Huntington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his girlfriend, Mickie Howard of Huntington; brother, Chad K. Wilson and Angie Reece of Huntington; sister, Deirdre “DeDe” Gonzalez and husband Miguel of Lufkin; nephews, Kyle L. Wilson of Lufkin, Blane M. Wilson, Grant K. Wilson, both of Huntington; Scott Harper of Lafayette, Louisiana, and David Antley of Diboll; nieces, Tiffany Layton of Nacogdoches and Kristy Manzano and husband Nacho of Hempstead; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lisa Figueroa.

Pallbearers will be Josh Steward, Bobby Milligan, Shane Wilson, Darrell Patton, Thomas Hanes, Jr., and Bryan Golden.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
