David Wayne Thomasee

A Memorial Mass for David Wayne Thomasee, 61, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Hank Lanik officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomasee was born August 24, 1956 in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in a Houston hospital. Formerly of Tyler, he had resided in Lufkin for 13 years. He was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, a member of the Friday Wood Turners, board member for the The Pregnancy Help Center, and was Assistant Scout Master for Boy Scout Troup #121 for many years. Mr. Thomasee was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Emily Thomasee of Panama City, Florida and Sebastian Ortiz of Princeton, New Jersey; Marcela and Corry “the kids”, of Lufkin; grandchildren, Xander Thomasee and Delaney Thomasee; and fiancée, Susan Budjenska of Lufkin.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Lou Worsham; father, Lawrence Welch; and sister, Helen LaCoy.
