David S. Reed, Jr.

Funeral services for David S. Reed, Jr., 63, of Corrigan will be held Monday, July 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the Corrigan First Baptist Church Family Life Center with Brother Buster Griggs and Brother Gary Forrest officiating. Masonic Graveside Services will follow in the Stryker Cemetery under the auspices of the Corrigan Masonic Lodge #1103 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Reed was born November 18, 1961 in Houston, Texas to the late David Singleton Reed, Sr. and Jo Alice Allison, and died Monday, July 21, 2025 in Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Reed had resided in Corrigan for most of his life. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking. Mr. Reed loved his family dearly and was a very affectionate person. He never left home or left after seeing a friend without giving a hug or saying, “I Love You.” He was a member of Corrigan First Baptist Church. Mr. Reed was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and a member of the Corrigan Masonic Lodge #1103 A.F. & A.M and Past Master.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Deanna Reinhardt Reed of Corrigan; son and daughter-in-law, James and Kellie Reed of Kingwood; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Reed and Francisco Gonzalez of Houston; grandson, Jackson Reed of Kingwood; brother, Douglass Reed of Houston; mother-in-law, Bennie Reinhardt of Corrigan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randall and Lisa Reinhardt of Kingsland; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, James Cloyce Reinhardt; and sister-in-law, Susan Reinhardt.

Pallbearers will be Billy Sam Locke, Keith Bullock, Mark Bullock, Jimmy Taylor, Bill Seale and Daniel Pitre.

Honorary pallbearers will be Milt Purvis, Roho Pouland and D.D. Logging Crew.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Corrigan First Baptist Church Family Life Center.
