David N. Glawson

Funeral services for David N. Glawson, 89, of Alto will be held Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Phil Corbett officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in the Wallace Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Glawson was born September 14, 1934 in Hemphill, Texas to the late Eula (Parrott) and Curtis Glawson, and died Friday, October 27, 2023 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a carpenter by trade.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Norma Ann (Davis) Glawson; children and spouses, Mark and Tina Glawson, Deana and Lino Acevedo, Thomas and Sherry Glawson, Rebekah Landers, Phillip and Judie Glawson, Derrick and Amie Glawson, and Virgil Glawson; 25 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Jimmy Glawson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters; daughter, Deborah Trapp; son-in-law, James Landers; and grandson, Nathan Landers.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Glawson, Curtis Glawson, Jason Amundson, Stephen Acevedo, Greg Glawson, and James Barfield.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Glawson and Lino Acevedo.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
