Mass for David “Manito” del Toro, Sr., 66, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Kelly STL officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. del Toro was born June 10, 1954 in Camden, Texas to the late Maria (Cortez) and Santos del Toro, and died Saturday, January 23, 2021 in a local hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Celia (Cruz) del Toro; daughters and son-in-law, Monica del Toro and Melissa Morado and David Cortez; son, David del Toro, Jr.; grandchildren and spouses, Karina Morado and Andrew Suits, Kristian Morado and Alyssa Keith, Kaitlyn Morado, Kaylee Morado, and Alexyah del Toro; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Maria del Carmen del Toro; grandson, David del Toro III; and sisters, Esperanza Cabrera, Isidra Esparza, and Olivia Rosado.
Pallbearers will be David del Toro, Jr., Kristian Morado, David Cortez, Andrew Suits, Pete Olds, Juan Rosado, Jorge Cruz, and Carlos Cruz.
Honorary pallbearer will be Romelio Esparza, Sr.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
