Funeral services for Darrell Reynolds of Sacul, Texas will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery.
Darrell Reynolds joined his Savior Friday, July 19, 2024 at the age of 62 after a valiantly fought battle with cancer. He was born August 26, 1961 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Carolyn Yvonne (Langford) and James Reagan Reynolds.
Darrell’s love of life does not end here. His beloved wife, children, and grandchildren carry him forward in their heart, mind and memory from this day on.
Darrell, a hardworking, kind, faithful, and most importantly family man, will be remembered fondly for “more than his fair share” of wit, incessant teasing, and quite frankly being a “handful” on most days. No one was a stranger or exempt.
Affectionately known as “Paw Paw” by his most treasured grandchildren, he shared his love and contentment in nature with them. Paw Paw was always up for the next adventure, especially one that included a “sidekick” or two.
Most recently Darrell and Teresea found their church home, The Bread of Life Community Church in Reklaw, a place where fellowship, faith and love are abundant. The people there welcomed and touched them in a way that they weren’t aware they were missing. Our family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to The Bread of Life Community Church for completing their journey on “this side”.
Survivors include his wife, Teresea (McCauley) Reynolds of Sacul; sons and daughters-in-law, Joshua and Mandi Taylor of Nacogdoches, and Jonathan and Megan Reynolds of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Steffanie and Marcus Thompson of Huntington, Casey and Bradley Lyons, and Kirby Reynolds, all of Nacogdoches; 13 grandchildren; his beloved dog, Lola; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don Reynolds; and sister, Rhonda Harvill.
Pallbearers will be Seth Costa, Kaleb McCauley, Joey Frederick, Levi Frederick, Johnathan Hodges, Kenneth Simmons, Lee Daniels, and Wayne Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Lyons and Joshua Taylor.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
