Dale Harris

Graveside services for Dale Harris, 56, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Keith Jones officiating.

Mr. Harris was born September 19, 1960 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Marcia Dale (Cole) and Denzel Marion Harris, and died Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Lufkin.

Mr. Harris was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and was an electrician for Shoemaker SCR & Electrical. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends, and loved his grandchildren. Mr. Harris was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Julie Harris of Lufkin; daughters, Abbe-Anne Harris of Apple Springs and Kimberly Kathleen Woodford of Spokane, Washington; grandsons, Ian Harris and Max Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Keith Jones of Hudson; brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Katrina Harris of Hudson; nephews, niece and spouses, Justin and Megan Morehead of Lufkin, Jade and Jimmy Thompson of Huntington, Jerrett and Kalyn Harris of New Braunfels, and Jacob and Heather Harris of Hudson; and girlfriend, Angie Burton of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Shoemaker, Buck Lee, Tony Wise, Steven Slaten, Dusty Stringer, and David Cole.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Oats, Doc Griffin, and numerous longtime friends.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
