Curtis R. Crawford, Sr.

Funeral services for Curtis R. Crawford, Sr., 75, of Huntington will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Cary Modisett officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesville Cemetery.

Mr. Crawford was born March 31, 1943 in Angelina County, Texas, and passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was a millwright, an entrepreneur and had owned numerous businesses, including an RV park and a nursery business. He was the lead singer of the Curtis Crawford and the Country Boys for 17 years. He leaves a life long legacy through his family.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia (Middleton) Crawford of Huntington; children and their spouses, Carla and Terry Stone of Huntington, Pam and Terry Bates of Jacksonville, Curtis Ray and Becky Crawford, Thomas Crawford, Cheryl Webb, and William Hillary Crawford, all of Huntington; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and counting; sisters, Wanda, Rachel, Judy and Imogene; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Crystle; and siblings, Carolyn and Walter.

Pallbearers will be Randy Goudy, Coy Hardin, Stoney Stone, P.J. Webb, Keith Crawford, Jody Herrington, Dalton Weaver, and David Cannon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Weatherman, Doug Pugh and Bryan Hayes.

The family extends special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice: Blaire Quinney, Kaelub Brown, Connie Russell, Cecilia Dolen, Grant Howarth, Dwayne Thornton, and to Stoney Stone for his loving care of his PawPaw.
