Connie Weems

Funeral services for Connie Weems, 91, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Trey Ainsworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Weems was born November 18, 1926 in the Clawson Community of Angelina County, Texas to the late Alma Vida (May) and William Luther Dunn, and died Saturday, March 10, 2018 in a local nursing home. She retired from Lufkin State School. Mrs. Weems loved to cook and take care of Tom until his passing. She was a member of Highway Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Albert Faulk of Bowie; stepdaughter, Virginia Orand and husband Jeff of Etoile; sister, Irene Roberts of Zavalla; nephew, Jessie Dunn of Lufkin; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Weems; daughter, Mildred Williams; son, Johnny Arnie; and brothers, Coy Dunn and James Dunn.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Weems’ family.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
