Cody Adams

Cody Adams, 33, of Lufkin died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born January 10, 1988 in Lufkin. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. A memorial reception will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Huntington Civic Center.

Cody was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He worked for Beard’s Jewelers and was also a writer, currently composing a TV series. Cody enjoyed music in a variety of genres.

Cody was a loving and dedicated son, brother, father and uncle, as well as trustworthy friend to anyone he met.

Survivors include his wife, Katie (Barnett) Adams of Lufkin; daughter, Lillian Griffin of Lufkin; son, Ascher Adams of Lufkin; mother, Lisa (Adams) Johnson of Lufkin; sisters, Tolisha Adams and Tonya Adams, both of Lufkin; grandmother, Joann Collier of Lufkin; aunt and uncles, Julie and Terry Dixon of Pennsylvania, Chad Collier and Jason Collier, both of Lufkin; nephew, Jordan Childress of Lufkin; and nieces, DeAri Odom and Arianna Adams, both of Lufkin.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Adams.
