Funeral services for Clyde O’Quinn, 82, of Huntington will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Frankens and Brother Gentry Wilkerson officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery under the auspices of the Wells Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M.
Mr. O’Quinn was born May 20, 1935 in Pollok, Texas to the late Willey and Alma (Riley) O’Quinn, and died Friday, April 13, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mr. O’Quinn had resided in the Lufkin area all of his life. He was a co-owner and machinist at Lufkin Supply Company, an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Shriners, where he was a 32
nd
Degree Mason, and a past Worshipful Master of the Wells Masonic Lodge #915 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of Greater Love Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife, Jane O’Quinn of Huntington; son, Terry O’Quinn and wife Sandra of Pollok; daughter, Sandy Flowers and husband David of Huntington; stepdaughters, Diane Savoie and husband Russell and Robbie Hines and husband Junior, all of Huntington; grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel O’Quinn and Ivette of Rockwall, Taylor Prescott and Kyle of Twentynine Palms, California, Presli Flowers of Huntington, John Sikes and Leann of Diboll, Justin Sikes and Christin, Wesley Hines and Brittni, all of Lufkin, and Catie Davidson and Johnny of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Anasophia and Liam O’Quinn, Gavin, Chris, Gunner, and Creed Sikes, JessiKate and Cooper Davidson, and Weston Hines; brother, John Riley O’Quinn of Pollok; sister-in-law, Estelle Simecek of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cecil, Hubert, and Clifton; and sisters, Gladys, Marie, and Nancy.
Pallbearers will be John Sikes, Justin Sikes, Wesley Hines, Daniel O’Quinn, Riley Dean O’Quinn, and Ben O’Quinn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Timmy Crustner, Coburn Hines, JC Crawford, Winston Hook, Michael Parrish, Jay Don Bailey, Mike Stracener, and Larry Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greater Love Tabernacle, 5319 FM 326, Lufkin, Texas 75901.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
