Funeral services for Clinton Earl Johnson, Sr., 60, of Orange will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Robert Forrest officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born October 4, 1957 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Estelle (Burnette) and Jack Hildred Johnson, Sr., and died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Johnson had most recently resided in Orange, but most of his life he lived in the Lufkin area. He worked for International Paper, Jim Walters Homes, and Red Construction. His favorite pastime was fishing with his grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his daughters, Misty Roberson of Central, Miranda Huggins and husband Morris of Lufkin, Paula Davis and husband James of Central, Tina Dominey and husband Jacob of Orange; sons, Clinton Johnson, Jr. and wife Chasity of Lufkin and Christopher Johnson and wife Brooke of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Jimmy Jones and wife Samantha, Wyman Jones, Eli Poindexter and wife Lynzi, Billy Poindexter, Ethan Poindexter, Aubriana Huggins, Cameron Huggins, James Davis, Marianda Davis, Zachary Johnson, Dustin Davis, Hunter Hornbuckle, Jayden Johnson, Kayden Johnson, Robert Dominey, De’Anna Dominey, Addyson Pigg, Alexis Johnson, and Granger Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Johnson, Jr.; sisters, Katherine Estelle Davidson and Marcy Gore; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny Johnson and Jackie Ray Johnson; and sister, Virgie Ruth Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Dominey, Christopher Johnson, James Davis, Jr., James Davis, Sr., James Poindexter, and Eli Poindexter.
Honorary pallbearer will be Clinton Johnson, Jr.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
