Claudie "Maxine" Register Davis

Funeral services for Claudie “Maxine” Register Davis, 84, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Lufkin First United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Joe Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was born February 9, 1939 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ruby Mae (Green) and Guy LaRue Register, and died Saturday, February 3, 2024 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Davis was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She had worked as an operator for Lufkin Conroe Telephone Exchange and teachers’ aide at Hackney Elementary School. She was a member of Lufkin First United Pentecostal Church her whole life and a pastor’s wife for more than 25 years.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Randy Seamans of Rockwall, Lori Coon of Lufkin, and Melody and Patrick Smith of Huntington; grandsons, Kalin Seamans, Skyler Seamans, Chaston Coon, an Ian Seamans; and great-granddaughters, Riley Seamans, Reagan Seamans, and Ruby Seamans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. R.G. “Bud” Davis; and brother, LaRue Register.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Nash, Darrell Luce, Chaston Coon, Kalin Seamans, Ian Seamans, and Skyler Seamans.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Ashby, Reagan Kelsey, Joe Lee Register, and Jerry Gibson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning prior to the services.
