Cheryl Hawkins Sargent

Cheryl Hawkins Sargent, 65, of Etoile died Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Lufkin. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hawkins was born July 18, 1956 in Houston, Texas to the late Bernice (Coaliron) and William Hawkins. She had resided in Etoile for three years and was a secretary at Blue Diamond Sanitation.

She is survived by her husband, Everett E. Sargent of Etoile; sons, Michael Wittneben of Porter and Billy Wittneben of Etoile: stepson, Don Sargent of Conroe; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Nina Sargent and Richard Bryant of Cleveland and Amanda and Cliff Baltrip of Beaumont; sister and brother-in-law, Tonya and Billy Goodwin; brothers and sister-in-law, John and Mona Hawkins, William Hawkins, and Steve Hawkins; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice (Coaliron) and William Hawkins; and brother, Donald “Duck” Hawkins.
