Cheryl Ann Kvale

Funeral services for Cheryl Ann Kvale, 61, of Huntington will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Keith Stanley and Kelly Wilson Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery.

Cheryl was born August 17, 1956 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Jeanette (Melancon) and Maurice Billiot, and died Thursday, April 5, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Kvale resided in Huntington for 10 years. She was a spitfire, loved her family and friends, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Cheryl owned and operated Cajun Oaks for three years. She was happiest cooking and feeding others. She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include her husband, Joey Kvale of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Tricia and Joey Welborn of Wylie, Jayme Kimmons of Huntington, and Ashley and Aaron Johnson of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Blake and Theresa Kvale of Houston; grandchildren, Ruby, Georgia, Edward, Elizabeth, Evie, Emily, Ashton, Conner, and Maddie; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Bert Rains of Port Arthur; and special friends, JoAnn Ricks of Huntington and Kelly Wilson Lawson of Corrigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and best friend, Peggy Butler.

Pallbearers will be James Rains, Joshua Rains, Jacob Rains, Christopher Rains, Josh Wilkie, and Willie Ricks.

Rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Kim Mouton officiating, followed by visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
