Chase De Sellem, Jr.

Memorial services for Chase de Sellem, Jr., 95, of Huntington will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at Huntington United Methodist Church with Reverend Bill Lanigan officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. de Sellem was born October 12, 1921 in Los Angeles, California to the late Lila Winterford (Beem) and Chase de Sellem, Sr., and died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. de Sellem grew up in California. He served in the U.S. Navy from March 16, 1942 to December 4, 1945. Mr. de Sellem resided in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii for 30 years, where he worked as a mechanic. He had lived in Huntington for 28 years and attended Huntington First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Danielle Harris and husband Darryl of Huntington; grandsons, David Harris and wife Brittany of Lufkin and Dennis Harris of Huntington; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Virginia Rosemary de Sellem.
