Charlotte I. Roland

A memorial visitation for Charlotte I. Roland, 91, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Charlotte peacefully joined her husband of 73 years on December 28, 2025 as she wished, at home with family. She was the youngest child of five children, born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Joseph and Irene Williams on January 26, 1934.

She worked many years, not only as a housewife, but in the family business, later working at Fullers in Lufkin until it closed.

Survivors include her sons, Dr. Kenneth Roland and wife Angela of Onalaska, Texas, Dale Roland and wife Kathryn of Lufkin, Texas; grandson, Scott and wife Christina; granddaughters, Amanda, Stephanie; great-grandson, Robert; great-granddaughters, Marleah, Charlie; as well as nephews, nieces and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her four older brothers and their spouses.
