Charles "Leo" Youngblood

Funeral services for Charles “Leo” Youngblood, 83, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charles Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Youngblood was born November 8, 1935 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Lela Bell (Bridges) and Thomas Clarence Youngblood, and died December 10, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. Youngblood was an Electrician and was a member of the IBEW 716 in Houston. He was a member of Herty Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Clara Jo Hartnett Youngblood of Lufkin; son, Larry Charles Youngblood of Pasadena; daughter, Cathy Rice of Katy; granddaughter, Kira Peterson of Sealy; grandsons, Jason Peterson of Katy and Taylor Youngblood of La Porte; brother, Jimmy Youngblood of Lufkin; sisters, Delma Willis of Lufkin, Jeannie Prosper of Baytown, and Shirley Smith of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Clarence Youngblood, James Youngblood, and Clint Youngblood.

Pallbearers will be Larry Youngblood, Rick Rice, Taylor Youngblood, Jason Peterson, Glenn Youngblood, and Shane Johnson.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
