Charles Edward Farquhar

Funeral services for Charles Edward Farquhar, 77, of Kennard will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Jared Bollman officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be held at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.

Eddie was born March 24, 1949 in Houston, Texas to the late Eva LaDean (Martin) and Charles Wayne Farquhar, and died Sunday, August 16, 2026 at his residence. Formerly of Deer Park, he had resided in Kennard for 20 years.

Eddie graduated from North Shore High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a jack of all trades. He had been an operator at a chemical plant as well as an AC technician. Eddie was the proud owner of 1930s Model A and won many awards with it. He was a member of Old Union Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Elizabeth (Coonrod) Farquhar; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Edward and Tricia Farquhar, and Scott Allen and Keely Farquhar; grandchildren, Katelynn Micheal, William Edward and Zachary Taylor Farquhar, Cameron Aidan and Kynlee Addyson Farquhar, Steven Issac Farquhar, and Charles Wayne Farquhar; great-grandchildren, Whitley Ann and Rylee Jean Farquhar; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Guy Dow; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Carolyn Farquhar; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Edward Farquhar; and brother, Daniel Wayne Farquhar.

Pallbearers will be Steven Farquhar, Charles Farquhar, William Farquhar, Zachary Farquhar, Cameron Farquhar, and Kevin Crawford.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
