Mr. DiStefano was born April 13, 1949 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Lena (Scalise) and Peter DiStefano, and died Saturday June 9, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. DiStefano had resided in Lufkin all of his life. He served his country in the United States Army for two years during the Vietnam Era, spending one year in Korea. Mr. DiStefano enjoyed fishing anywhere anytime. He enjoyed being around and on the water. He was known as Mr. Fix-It. Many called upon him regularly. He was eager to help friends, neighbors, and family. Time with family was precious to him. It was not uncommon for he and Sandra to make the drive to Longview for Kristopher and Kaitlyn’s activities. Having Hank and Hoyt close by has been a blessing. He was proud of his children and grandchildren, and they were so proud of him.
Mr. DiStefano’s faith journey was a harmonious blend of the Catholic faith as well as the Baptist faith.
